Teddy
I lay upon my little bed, snuggled tightly with my Ted
My fluffy pal is my best friend who shows me love that never ends
He sleeps with me all through the night, great big monsters he will fight
Nothing scary gets passed him, he guards me with his wide-eyed grin
My cuddles leave him full of grime, he's washed and hung upon the line
I watch my teddy, full of fear, as he hangs there by his ear
Gently swinging in the breeze, I want him now, dry quickly please
At last he's dry and in my arms, I'm yielding to his loving charms
My Teddy is so very wise, he watches me with open eyes
He watches as I make a noise and play with all the other toys
But when I've finished with my play and put the other toys away
He sits there with his knowing grin as I always come back to him
We sit and chat and eat our meal, I push his tum, he gives a squeal
I give his nose a little kiss and hope each day is just like this
At end of day and prayers are said I snuggle back again in bed
We wait and watch the world go by, my friend, my teddy bear and I
