When you wake up on a summer’s day

And you hear all the birds chirruping away

Sitting outside in the morning sun

Saying get up a new day has begun

You feel so excited your step has a lift

It’s almost as if you’ve been given a gift

There’s a tune in your head that keeps going around

And singing it loudly makes such a good sound

Step into the garden and sniff the fresh air

Smell the perfume of bright flowers growing there

The buzzing of honeybees doing their rounds

All add to the magical summer sounds

The earth is such a beautiful place
